Mae Eglwys Newydd yr Hafod, a elwir hefyd yn Eglwys yr Hafod, yn gysygredig i Sant Mihangel a\u2019r Holl Angylion. Mae\u2019r eglwys yn adeilad trawiadol Gradd II*, sydd \u00e2 chyfoeth o hanes diddorol ond trist, wedi ei lleoli mewn ardal dawel, ar gyrion ystad hudolus yr Hafod, a hynny mewn ardal ar Fynyddoedd yr Elennydd.<\/p>\n
Mae\u2019r eglwys wedi bod yn rhan annatod o\u2019r gymuned am dros 400 o flynyddoedd. Mae nifer o Sgweiriaid yr Ystad wedi\u2019u claddu yn y fynwent, ynghyd \u00e2 Chapteiniaid y gweithfeydd mwyn lleol, mwyngloddwyr, ffermwyr, bugeiliaid, crefftwyr, masnachwyr a gweithwyr yr Ystad. Mae yna lawer o waith ymchwil wedi\u2019i wneud i\u2019r hanes cymdeithasol, ac mae gennym giosg sgrin gyffwrdd yn yr eglwys bellach i alluogi ymwelwyr sy\u2019n ymchwilio i\u2019w hanes teulu ddod o hyd i feddau eu hanwyliaid yn hwylus. Mae\u2019r Sefydliad Cadwraeth wedi cadarnhau bod un o goed y fynwent gyda\u2019r hynaf yng nghanolbarth Cymru.<\/p>\n
